Great River Rumble 2018

This post isn't a hike but an adventure.  This is my 3rd rumble and love every aspect of it.  Loved it just as much as my 1st and 2nd rumble.  Enjoy the photos.

Loading all the kayaks and canoes on the trailers

First night in Keosauqua Iowa.  Guess which one is mine?  "Summer Shandy!"

The town brought a band in and we had a street dance.

I love this bench

Yes that was my mattress, and yes it did fit in my tent.  Perfect!

This was a bank in an antique shop

Waiting for the group meeting to get on the river.  Connor and Art

Almost ready to go

Waiting in a stream for everyone to get on the river

Nice tree house along the way.

Damsel fly just hanging out.

Some of the rumblers brought the music.  Love it!

Walking around town I saw these flowers

Happy Birthday to my daughter Kayla

The morning briefing.

Owen, he was the "Go getter" in this town. When we arrived he was renting his bike to rumblers for some extra $$.  He also would go on runs for ice, so we could stay at camp.  He made about $45.  We to go Owen!

Nancy, we met last year at the Rumble.  It's always nice to see someone from the past rumbles

The lead canoe.

Waiting to get in

We went under this railroad bridge as the train was going over.  A little weird

Old bridge, we could walk over it. The new one was right beside it.

The Rumbler band performed tonight

Everyone had a great time listening to the Rumbler band

I try to get sunrise and sunset photos.  Sometimes we have great ones.  This trip there was very few.  Sunrise.
